Lockerby Composite School 50th Reunion
Friday July 31 to Sunday August 2
Valhalla Weekend - July 31, August 1 and 2, 2009
2009 marks the fiftieth anniversary of Lockerby Composite School. A reunion is being planned for the Civic weekend this summer with all of the events scheduled to take place at the school or nearby locations. Following the opening ceremonies on Friday evening, teachers and other staff members can attend a wine and cheese. On Saturday an athletic run will be followed by a breakfast. Family games and activities and an alumni basketball game are also scheduled for Saturday. On Sunday there will be a golf tournament and dinner at the Cedar Green Golf Course. The closing banquet will take place at the Caruso Club on Sunday evening. As well, participants can tour era rooms featuring memorabilia from the past five decades at various times during the weekend or visit a beer tent which will be open for business throughout the reunion. A souvenir booklet is being produced to help capture special memories and allow participants to relive their high school days. The organizing committee, chaired by Anna Barsanti, has been hard at work for many months planning the weekend and is hoping word of the festivities will reach as many alumni as possible. The reunion promises to be one "valhallava" party! More information is available at www.lockerby.net (click on the reunion link). Hope to see you there!
