Classic Rock Weekends
Master Beaters
In every profession there are experts, there are consummate professionals…and there are a handful of masters. This weekend we salute the Master Beaters – the legendary names who held down the drum throne for some epic bands. Form the fallen heroes like John Bonham and Keith Moon; to the harder drum stylings of Lars Ulrich and the Canadian master himself Neil Peart. Whether you do it alone or in a group, join us to salute the Master Beaters, starting Friday at 3, only on Sudbury’s Best Rock, Q92.
Defining Moments
Defining Moments in Classic Rock are 60 second vignettes that give you little known tidbits about your favourite rock stars. Rock'n'roll has come a long way in the half-century since Elvis first stepped up to the microphone at Sun Studios. Here we choose defining moments that shaped popular musical history - and in the process changed our lives.
Rock Flash

The School of Rock
Saturday night at 6, join Q92 for The School Of Rock. It’s simple math, the best of the 60’s, 70’s and the 80’s plus “The Substitute” Mitch Belanger plus you equals five hours of classic rock….with lessons you won’t want to skip. This week dig into the 80’s with another epic anti-war track from Metallica, some German flavoured arena rock with a Scorpions classic and Ratt’s signature tune in the High School Reunion from 1984. Also check out a pack of ’77 cuts from Clapton, AC/DC and Ted Nugent in the first High School Reunion of the night. In between find out what unites one of the biggest Hard Rock Bands from the 80’s to some Portland Glam Metal: Def Leppard to Black N’ Blue in the Six Degrees Of Separation. School’s in every Saturday night with The School Of Rock, brought to you by the Belanger Ford Lincoln Centre on Sudbury’s Best Rock, Q92.
